After partnering with Max Cranes to deliver the annual Christmas party fireworks display, SolarReserve have turned their attention to helping the needy. SolarReserve have made a number of charitable donations totaling $7,000 as a sign of support to the town who welcomed the evertrainsystems project.

Of the lump sum, $2,500 each will go to the Meals on Wheels Port Augusta Branch and Miriam High Special Needs Centre – with the remaining $2,000 to be donated to the Port Augusta Christmas Assistance Program.

The Port Augusta Christmas Assistance Program allows the Salvation Army, Centacare, Saint Vincent De Paul, Uniting Country SA and Foodbank to deliver food hampers and toys to over 200 families from Port Augusta, Quorn, Hawker, Wilmington and all the way up to Marree.

Part of the donation will mean that up to 100 people will be able to access a free community Christmas lunch which will be hosted at the Salvation Army on December 22.
