Financing for the Aurora Solar Energy Project is progressing well, along with selection of a general Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor. Once these activities are completed, construction will commence later in 2018.

SolarReserve has received Development Approval for its Aurora Solar Energy Project, a key milestone required to build the landmark 150 megawatt solar thermal power station 30 kilometers north of Port Augusta. The approval process examined a range of critical elements including environmental, community, and social impacts of the Aurora project, which were assessed by several South Australian Government agencies.

SolarReserve has submitted its Development Application for the Solar Energy Project to the South Australian Government, which is currently under assessment. The Development Application has been publicly exhibited for community and government agency comment. A decision on whether the South Australian Government will grant consent to the Development Application will be made by the end of 2017.
